Baby Bear learns to fly is a sculpture, installation and performance by german artist Bernd von den Brincken for the 2017 Forma festival in Moscow.

What is the future of the human endeavour on this planet? Shall we go further, or hide in the warm cave? Have we extended the biblical phrase to 'subdue the earth' already? These questions are put in the context of a

When we consider the history of futurism we understand that it was a pre-illustration of things to come, the manifest from 1909 an outlook to the 20th century from its beginning. And yes, the reality prooved it right, with the development of technology, industrialisation - but also of war. To illustrate the dark synergy of these elements as part of the futurist history i will continue my lecture with a report on the 'V2', a 'secret weapon' of Germany in WW2. This project segment was not realised, based on a lack of butterflys in Italy

Project butterfly is part of the presentation of start at the Enduring Futurism campaign.

I believe that this project should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this year is out, of shooting a butterfly as high in the sky as it has never seen before.

Beautiful future projects

Science fiction was a common culture strategy to talk about the future - everyone knew it would not happen so it was easy to imagine a different world. But in my youth in the 1960s and 1970s we were also experiencing projects to happen that the generations before had considered fiction: Landing on the moon, nuclear energy, later in the 1980s the computer and internet revolution.

This is a contribution to the concept of a 'club of responsible artists'.
It first gives some hints and definitions about the notion of 'responsibility' and specifications in the context of organisations, then remarks to the relation of artist and society, finally conclusions for the said club.

My contribution to Enduring Futurism is a lecture comprising three parts:

	* Beautiful future projects - Projects with a futuristic character that were not yet realized - but should be.
	* Mountain of darkness - Understanding the future of the past, as part of a social learning process,
